Local Manufacturer Dasic Marine is invited by UKTI to promote British Innovation and Design in Brazil to an audience of Ship Builders, Operators and Owners.
Hot on the heels of Team GB’s Olympic and Para-Olympics success Dasic Marine was proud to be part of a British Trade Delegation to Marintec, South America held in Rio de Janeiro last week.
Speaking to a packed audience on new technologies in Tank-cleaning, Ian Rippon, Sales Manager of the Chandler’s Ford based exporter is keen to promote British design and manufacture. “Britain is still the leader in engineering design. Dasic Marine is offering ship owners new bespoke tank-cleaning machines to suit their exact needs for greener, more effective tank cleaning.“
Apart from the obvious cargo holds, commercial ships have on average 35 tanks (ranging from fuel; ballast; lube oil; waste to fresh water tanks) that all need cleaning. Dasic Marine’s range of cleaning machines can be used to replace costly cleaning service operators. By removing the need for man entry into enclosed spaces, these units reduce health and safety hazards to crew and personnel whilst improving overall efficiency.
The Marintec event attracted record numbers and Dasic Marine is now working with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras, on a number of enquiries.
